Get your brain assessed with qEEG screening

Sometimes you hear people refer to it as ‘noise.’ There’s a lot of noise in the world, they say, that can cloud your head and make you restless at night. Your brain is going a million miles a minute and as much as you know you need that restorative sleep to get through the next day, you can’t keep yourself from going through everything that happened in the past day, and are thinking nonstop about the day ahead.

Or you’re an active young person and like being able to go out and do things in the world with friends. But one day you took a fall when running in the park and hit your head on the grass. It doesn’t sound like a big deal, but you’ve been having headaches since that day and sometimes feel unsteady on your feet. And for somebody who never forgets anything, you missed the early entry deadline next community run that you had been training for — which doesn’t sound like you.

One of the many services we have at Living Well Dallas here is functional qEEG (quantitative Electroencephalography) cognitive screening testing. Electroencephalography (EEG) is the measurement of electrical patterns at the surface of the scalp, known more commonly as brainwaves. Quantitative EEG (qEEG) is the analysis of the digitized EEG and is testing that is ideal for those having cognitive issues whether it’s from a concussion, mood imbalances or something as simple as what you think are sleep issues.

One note about the qEEG testing is that it does need a referral from one of our team’s doctors or nurse practitioners. You should ask your provider how to get referred to do an assessment of your brain’s functioning today, and there are insurance (depending on your commercial insurance company) plus cash options for payment.

Whether we set you on the road to a greater peace of mind and security with a pathway to a better, more stable life, or we help keep yourself at your best emotionally, we can help you figure out how to get started Living Well again. Give us a call at 972-930-0260 to book an appointment at Living Well Dallas today.
